Revolutionary Flying Taxi Promises 15-Minute Rides to JFK—And It’s Not Just Science Fiction

Archer Aviation, in partnership with United Airlines, revealed its electric air taxi Midnight, designed to cut travel time from Manhattan to JFK Airport to just 15 minutes.

New Yorkers could soon skip traffic with an air taxi to JFK, turning the usual hour-long trip from Manhattan into a quick 15-minute flight.

On April 17, Archer Aviation and United Airlines launched their electric air taxi project in New York, unveiling the ‘Midnight’ prototype—a sleek solution to the city’s gridlocked commutes.
CEO Adam Goldstein noted, “No one wants to spend 90 minutes driving just 15 miles.”

Archer’s new electric aircraft, Midnight, is designed to fly from Manhattan to NYC airports in 5–10 minutes. It holds four passengers and a pilot, with space for bags, powered by 12 electric motors.
